What is a Student Teaching Clinic?
As part of their advanced and probationary training students are asked to attend our in school training clinics. These clinics form part of the students’ clinical practice and to allow them to work on members of the public.
A treatment session includes taking a full case study and treatment, under the guidance of a fully qualified Shiatsu Practitioner and Teacher. For members of the public they offer a chance to receive a good quality, low cost treatment. What is a Graduate Clinic?
Once students have completed their three-year training and achieved the School’s Diploma, they become Graduate Practitioners.
Our graduate clinics have two main aims; those of offering reduced priced professional shiatsu to members of the local community who otherwise may not be able to afford full professional rates and to offer graduates a ‘stepping stone’ to the world of real practitioner-hood. BSS-Do graduates run these clinics gaining valuable experience in client and practice management under the overall guidance of the school.
