Petra has been in private practice since 1999 in Colchester Essex and, since 2006, at Komyokan Dojo, Birkenhead, Wirral.

Petra graduated from the BSS-Do London in 2000 including varied shiatsu training at the BSS-Do Essex, the East Anglian School of Shiatsu and the BSS-Do London, gaining her MRSS in 2003

Petra has been training in Traditional Aikido since 1989 and achieved 2nd Dan in 1997 and has beenthe principal instructor at her own Aikido dojo since that time. She was given Accredited for Prior Experience and Learning (APEL) status by the Shiatsu Society, gaining small (t) in October 2004. 

Petra teaches at BSS-Do Essex and runs an evening class at Suffolk College, Ipswich including Shiatsu workshops at her Aikido dojo in Colchester Essex and at the Komyokan Dojo in Birkenhead, Wirral

PGCE (PCE), British Aikido Board Coach Award, Aikido Instructor Institute of Aikido.

Petra’s areas of professional interest and research include: the relationship between energetic, physical and spiritual aspects of the healing arts and the martial arts; how emotional states manifest physically and Oriental philosophy generally; and Saul Goodman’s Central Channel Release and Fascia Release techniques.
