Principal BSS Midlands Jeanne has been involved with Shiatsu since 1992 and trained at both BSS-Do London and Nottingham. She went on to complete her teacher training with the BSS-Do in 2001, now teaching at Nottingham (Midlands) and London. Jeanne is now the Principal of BSS-Do Midlands. Jeanne’s teaching style comes from her own experiences of spending time with people with learning difficulties and her own children. The balance between learning, play and practice is very important to Jeanne. This balance offers students the time and encouragement to find their own style and personality within their Shiatsu. Through her training, she has been inspired by Linda Sharples, Susanne Franzen, Andy Scott, Sara Wale and Liz Cruikshanks. Jeanne’s post-graduate training includes several workshops with Sonia Moriceau, Michael Rose and Thea Bailey. She is currently training in and for a Therapeutic Drumming and Movement diploma. Jeanne started her career in nursing and moved to social work to work with people with learning difficulties where she created and managed a Community Living, Alternative Living and Respite project. Working with individuals to help them become independent and live more fulfilling lives on their own.
